Tropea, the pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea
Tropea is less than ten kilometres from Armacera resort. The village, built on a tuff cliff, rises steeply above the sea.
The viewpoints and the promontory
The viewpoints, which can be reached from Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the maze of alleys in the old town, are extremely exciting vantage points overlooking the white beach and turquoise sea. From here you can see the promontory on which the church of Santa Maria dell’Isola stands and the unforgettable sunsets over the Stromboli volcano.
Churches, noble palaces and small squares
The Norman cathedral, the numerous churches dating from different periods, the impressive noble palaces with their large entrances and the small squares will remain in the hearts of visitors who can spend the day shopping and the evening enjoying the nightlife in the clubs of the town centre before returning to Armacera for the night.
